Thought I would kick this off...Show us your Coastal!

Here is my 2005 25th Anniversary Model 232 Coastal with crew out for a cruise.

Well...none of my good pics are small enough to upload...but here is my Coastal 290 2008. The one and only time I through the zodiac on the roof! Getting it up and down was a bear.

I know that posting your favorite shot can be frustrating.

Try this...copy picture, paste into MS Paint, got to re-size (resize the photo), and save as a jpeg file in your photos and label "small version".

Then go back and search your attachment and paste it! After one or two try's, you should get it.

Good luck...and send up one of your better shots.

That's a nice rig Bh...do you trailer often with a rig that big?

Trailering was nerve racking at first but now it's no big deal. I put the boat in the water 4 or 5 times a month from May through September. Might put it in the water a few times over the winter months. I trailer it to the West Coast of Vancouver Island at least once a summer also. That trip includes a ride on BC Ferries.

Ya, when I saw no bottom paint on a 29' boat...I started asking myself some questions?!?!

What size Chevy is that in the photo...and are you close to maxing out your towing weight?

I tow my 232 with a Chevy 1500HD 2WD rated at 7400 lbs towing capacity (she's a sleeper in Chevy's line).

My load probably goes like this...

Boat 3600
Fuel. 600
Motor 700
Hard top/deck mounted crap 400
General crap 600
Trailer 1200

7100 lbs easy

But you know...always feels confident when driving.

You must be very close...I'm within 5% of max without adding the cap and full bed load of tools and ladders for work.

Truck is a 2006 Chevy 2500 with the Duramax engine. I have never weighed the boat loaded on the trailer so i don't know about the weight.

I have an electric over hydraulic brake actuator on the trailer along with disc brakes on all three axles. I would not even consider hauling this boat without the electric over hydraulic brakes.
